First off, congratulations to Dion Lee for his big NYFW debut. It is well deserved. There are many talented Australian designers out there that deserve to be known by the world. I love how he has his own unique, signature design but manages to elevate them every season, making them desirable and anything but boring.

Currently I'm obsessed with over-sized coats of any colour. I think they are a statement piece that instantly dress up a basic or plain outfit. You can pair them with basic t-shirts and skinnies and they would make the outfit alot more dressed up and edgy. For the look above, I've decided to dress up a rather monochromatic look with a bright coral-ish blue coat. I think everything goes perfectly together. Just clean, minimal and simple but with a lot of character. The look is perfect for work or even for a day/night event. If and when you have to take off the coat, the button up shirt has this cool embroidery that will add an instant lift to a rather basic look.
